SATURDAY 1st APRIL 2023 will see Tāmaki Makarau’s iconic Pukekawa (Auckland Domain) play host to the outdoor, full-blown multi-sensory extravaganza experience that is SYNTHONY IN THE DOMAIN! For one day only, Pukekawa will transform into a boutique-style music festival, immersing you in a breath-taking fusion of electronic dance music, live orchestra, DJ’s, internationally acclaimed performers, and spectacular visuals.
Without a doubt it’s biggest production yet, SYNTHONY IN THE DOMAIN brings together the grandeur of the AUCKLAND PHILHARMONIA ORCHESTRA, with acclaimed conductor SarahGrace Williams, and features a star-studded line-up of guest vocalists including ILAN KIDRON (The Potbelleez), SAVAGE, ELLA MONNERY, JEREMY REDMORE and BELLA KALOLO.
With many more still to be announced, Synthony fans are in for a music event like no other. Debuting a brand new SYNTHONY set list curated by DJ Dick Johnson, hosted by Aroha and with musical arrangements by renowned composer Ryan Youens, New Zealand’s favourite orchestral/EDM hybrid event returns to celebrate thirty years of the greatest global dance anthems. DUCO TOURING is thrilled to have partnered with TĀTAKI AUCKLAND UNLIMITED to secure a superb new home for the first-ever SYNTHONY IN THE DOMAIN at Pukekawa/Auckland Domain.
With its central location, rich history, expansive gardens and natural amphitheatre, Pukekawa is completely simpatico with this evolution of SYNTHONY, and is the perfect location to sign off summer with friends and whānau in the elegant and lush greenfield spaces of the domain. The first of many acts to be announced alongside of SYNTHONY, is chart-topping Kiwi dance-duo SACHI, with more big announcements still to come! Commencing at sunset, the first half of the SYNTHONY set will warm you up for a night of musical delight with an array of fan-favourite classics and freshly curated tracks alike.
The second half of the SYNTHONY set will deliver the biggest electronic dance ‘bangers’ of all time, reimagined and under the stars, treating fans to a raft of highly anticipated brand-new hits, with special surprise guest performers. Set in the expansive, outdoor, natural amphitheatre environment of Pukekawa/Auckland Domain, fans can relax under the stars in our General Admission Area (All Ages), or choose to dance on the grass in our Premium Area (18+).
