The New Zealand Maritime Museum Hui Te Ananui a Tangaroa invites your whānau to experience its latest temporary exhibition, I Am Island and Sea. Entry is free for Auckland residents of all ages.

Step inside a glimmering world where giant lightboxes glow, secret spaces await your exploration and the voices of Tāmaki Makaurau’s young people reverberate from the center of the Earth.

Inspired by the State of Our Gulf 2020 report, I Am Island and Sea is the culmination of work by artist Kate Parker, in collaboration with fellow artist Sarah-Jane Blake, Mixit and students from six Auckland schools, including: Dioecesan School fo Girls, Green Bay High School, New Lynn school, Papatoetoe High School, Pukekohe High School and Te Kura o Pounamu.
