Annie Dundas
Director - Destination
Appointed in February 2024, Annie brings a wealth of experience and extensive domestic and international networks to the role.
Annie has been with TAU and legacy organisation ATEED since 2020, including the role of Head of Visitor Economy. She has driven key pieces of work including TAU’s Destination Partnership Programme, the review of the region’s Destination AKL strategy, and establishment of Iconic Auckland Eats.
Her background includes 17 years at Tourism New Zealand (with nine years overseas in Los Angeles, London and Paris), heading regional tourism organisation Hawke’s Bay Tourism (including the creation of Food & Wine Classic Hawke’s Bay) and working for Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Whai Rawa.
Annie and her team are committed to working with a range of industry partners, alongside central and local government, to ensure Auckland remains competitive in the international market to increase arrivals and visitor numbers, win business events and secure and develop world-class events.
Annie has a BA from Victoria University of Wellington, and post-graduate qualifications from UCLA and University of Otago.
