Major Events investment

The benefits of investing in major events can include visitor nights and spending, attendance, contribution to regional GDP and making the region a vibrant place to visit, work and live in.

The contracted amounts TAU (and its predecessor Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development) agreed to invest up to for events that have taken place are listed below. All investments are subject to performance-based contracts. This information will be updated annually.

TAU does not invest in regional or community events – these are supported by Auckland Council.
