The BNZ Auckland Diwali Festival returns to Tāmaki Makaurau in 2026, lighting up central Auckland with vibrant celebrations from Saturday, 31 October to Sunday, 1 November.

Aotea Square, Queen Street, and Rutland Street will come alive for this two-day celebration, showcasing the vibrancy of Indian culture through delicious food, lively music, and a mix of modern and traditional performances.

Applications for stallholders and performers are now open. Organisers invite food, craft, and retail stallholders, along with talented dancers, musicians, and other performers, to help bring the festival to life.

As one of the most colourful and beloved cultural events in Tāmaki Makaurau, the festival welcomes communities from across the region to celebrate together in the heart of the city.
