For the seventh year running, Tātaki Auckland Unlimited has gained Toitū Carbon Reduce certification, demonstrating its ongoing dedication to reduce climate impacts. In addition, Auckland Zoo, a division of Tātaki Auckland Unlimited, has been awarded Toitū Net Carbon Zero certification for the tenth consecutive year.  

Tātaki Auckland Unlimited is committed to reducing its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 50 per cent by 2030, in line with carbon reduction goals set in Te Tāruke-ā-Tāwhiri: Auckland's Climate Plan. This plan follows Auckland Council declaring a climate emergency in 2019

The certification measured emissions consumed by activities across Tātaki Auckland Unlimited’s FY 2024/25 operations including Auckland LiveAuckland ConventionsAuckland Art Gallery Toi o TamakiAuckland StadiumsAuckland ZooNew Zealand Maritime Museum, non-production film studios, GridAKL and its corporate unit.
