Aotea Centre was purpose-built for the performing arts, a creative heart for our city centre. As such, it is home to New Zealand’s largest modern tiered auditorium, a unique black box theatre, function rooms, and the popular BOX Cafe and Bar. As it was designed around a collection of beautiful New Zealand artworks by leading contemporary artists, the Centre is full of light and space – an inspiring venue for any occasion.
