Nothing beats the atmosphere of a packed stadium. Go Media Stadium (renamed from Mt Smart Stadium on 15 May 2023) is New Zealand’s premier outdoor concert and festival venue. Some of the world’s best entertainment acts have played here. Artists such as Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran and Adele have attracted record crowds here, joining a stellar line up of greats who have rocked our stage over the years including The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Taylor Swift and U2.
Go Media Stadium rises to every occasion. The main arena can accommodate 45,000 people, and it also boasts an international standard athletics facility, a range of multi-purpose function spaces and several community-focused areas that together cater for more than 500,000 visitors a year.
The stadium is famous for hosting some of the largest sports events in the country, such as the 2017 Rugby League World Cup and S-X Open motor cross events in 2018 and 2019. It is also a place many of our finest athletes call home. The One New Zealand Warriors and Auckland FC call Go Media Stadium home, while Auckland Athletics are also based there.
